Festival of the Sea 2025
Fr. Francis Di Spigno, OFM,
Pastor
The Festival of the Sea 2025 is now behind us. The rides, games, food, and music turned our parking lot and gymnasium into a carnival fairground and a top-notch
eatery! We are still paying the bills, so we don’t have the bottom line at this point.
Of course, so much planning goes into such a large event as the Festival of the Sea. I lost track of how many times the FOS Committee met over the past year to make sure that everything was in place.
Thank you to the 2025 Festival of the Sea Committee. Thank you to Amy Marks (chair), Lorri and Joe D’Orsi (Food), Michelle DiBella and Astrid Befumo (Special Events Coordinator and Volunteers), Arian Selmani (Keel Marketing Agency), Tim Butler (Rides), Neil Saunders (Games), Angela Ominski (Sponsors), Jim Brady (Games), Mary Lou McGurkin (Accounting), Colleen Lindsey and Carla Parisio (Youth Ministry), and Jim Mazzerina (our own FOS Committee Member emeritus)! Chris Miller and all of our maintenance crew also deserve a round of applause for their commitment to keeping the place clean, setting up and taking down, moving things in and then moving them out. I pray God blesses them all with strong backs. Thank you to everyone on the FOS Committee for a job very well done!!
Thank you Campy’s Amusements. The quality and variety of the rides and the professionalism and dedication of your staff is excellent. Bravo to them for creating such a wonderful company and providing us with such high-quality amusement experience. Thank you to Keith Campanello and Karyn, Paul, Alyssa and Elizabeth Pampanin, and everyone at Campy’s Blue Star Amusements for your dedication to craft.
Thank you to Murphy’s Markets and Shoprite for the donation of bottled water and to Costco, BJs, and Target for your
support and gift card donations.
Thank you to The Van Dyk Group, the Festival’s presenting sponsor and to all of our sponsors for your great support. I need to thank Angela Ominski who led the charge. This was the best year yet. Through her efforts our sponsors donated $40,950 for the success of our Festival.
A special thank you to Joe and Lorri D’Orsi. Not only do they know how to run a kitchen, prepare wonderful meals and create a great team, they also donated all the food that was prepared.
Thank you to EVERYONE who said yes and volunteered for the Festival of the Sea 2025!! Your dedication to our great parish is overwhelming. Thank you for putting your life on hold and lending a helping hand. Thank you for leaving your guests at home so we could ensure that we had people cooking in the kitchen, serving in the gym, and attending to those who wanted to take a chance at the game booths, Progressive 50/50, Car Raffle, or Hourly 50/50. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our great parish. You are what makes this place great!
Thank you to everyone who came to the Festival and enjoyed some good summer fun!
Peace and All Good.
