St. Francis of Assisi Parish is seeking a warm, organized, and dependable Administrative Assistant to support the Family Faith Formation Office.
This part-time role is essential to the smooth running of our programs and ministries. The Administrative Assistant will help with scheduling, communications, event support, and hospitality—creating a welcoming environment for families, children, and youth as they grow in faith together.
Main Responsibilities
Office & Program Support
Provide general administrative support to Family Faith Formation staff
Assist with scheduling, filing, mailings, and data entry
Help manage registrations and calendars for sacramental prep, family sessions, and youth events
Maintain accurate records for attendance, sacraments, and Safe Environment compliance
Prepare materials for classes and events (handouts, sign-in sheets, certificates, etc.)
Track and order supplies for formation programs
Communication
Help with communication to families, catechists, and volunteers
Support email updates, bulletin content, and website/social media updates
Create flyers, newsletters, and reminders using digital communication tools.
Event Support & Hospitality
Assist with setup, hospitality, and cleanup at Family Faith sessions, youth events, and other gatherings
Greet and support families and volunteers during events
Coordinate with volunteers to help events run smoothly
Additional Responsibilities
Assist at occasional evening and weekend events
Support parish-wide events in coordination with other ministries
Help with special projects or tasks assigned by the Director of Faith Formation
Represent the parish with kindness, professionalism, and discretion in all interactions
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Practicing Catholic who supports the teachings of the Church
Friendly and welcoming personality
Strong organization and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and email communication
Able to handle sensitive information confidentially
Comfortable working in a Franciscan environment focused on hospitality and simplicity
Preferred
Experience in a parish, school, or nonprofit office
Familiarity with tools like ParishSOFT or Flocknote
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Work Environment
Work takes place in the St. Francis Parish office
Occasional walking between buildings and light lifting (up to 25 lbs)

Purpose of the Position
The Young Adult Minister develops and implements a relational ministry for adults ages 18–39, fostering faith, fellowship, and service rooted in the USCCB’s Sons and Daughters of the Light. The minister helps connect young adults with Christ, the Church, and each other through meaningful engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Young Adult Ministry Development
Plan and lead gatherings for:
Faith formation (small groups, book studies, theology nights)
Prayer and worship (holy hours, retreats, communal prayer)
Fellowship (social events, community meals, outings)
Service (volunteer projects, outreach opportunities)
Encourage vocational discernment and leadership development.
2. Parish & Diocesan Collaboration
Coordinate efforts with parish staff and ministries to integrate young adults into parish life.
Partner with the Diocese of Trenton and nearby parishes for regional events and resources.
3. Communication & Administration
Promote activities through parish channels and social media.
Maintain records and ensure Safe Environment compliance.
Assist with budget tracking and event planning logistics.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Practicing Catholic committed to Church teachings and spiritual growth.
Strong communication, leadership, and event planning skills.
Experience working with young adults or similar age groups.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in ministry or theology.
Familiarity with Sons and Daughters of the Light and young adult ministry best practices.
Tech-savvy with social media and communication tools.
Knowledge of Franciscan spirituality.
Working Conditions

Senior Services
Position: Outreach & Activity Assistant- Work closely with the seniors within the community to assist with benefits counseling and application assistance. Coordinate the Social Recreation and Physical Activities for the Senior Services Department. Preform outreach to homebound seniors, oversee daily tasks.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with the elderly a plus but not required. Computer skills required and ability to multitask. Must have valid driver’s license.
Days/Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday 40hrs
Pay: $17 per hour

Position: Human Concerns Caseworker- Part time
Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills and a minimum of a High School Diploma; a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field is preferred. Experience working with diverse populations and providing resources or case-management support is required. The Caseworker must be able to work collaboratively with volunteers, community partners, and multiple agencies, and communicate effectively with clients seeking assistance.
Responsibilities include overseeing pantry operations during open hours, assisting with food deliveries (ability to lift 40 lbs), managing donation needs, supporting volunteers, answering program inquiries, assisting with client intakes, and helping process utility and housing assistance requests. The role also supports annual Human Concerns initiatives such as Back to School, Thanksgiving, and Gift of Warmth.
Must be organized, reliable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday – 20 hours per week
Pay: $18 per hour

Position: Licensed Counselor/Therapist
Must complete 40-hour Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate Training (provided free of charge by the agency). Must hold a current Professional License: LSW, LAC, LPC or LCSW
Clinical supervision provided at no cost to the employee.
Days/Hours: Full time- 40 hours a week Monday to Friday (Some evening hours required)
