Position Overview
The Coordinator of Family Faith Formation helps plan and run our parish’s family-based faith formation program, serving children in Grades 1–8 and their families. This person works closely with the Director of Family Faith Formation to support and implement sacramental preparation and create a positive, faith-filled environment for learning and spiritual growth.
This is a hands-on role that involves active involvement—working with catechists, parents, and volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly and families feel supported on their faith journey.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
Assist the Director of Family Faith Formation to implement the faith formation curriculum and support sessions for children and parents in the Family Faith Formation program.
Partner with parents, equipping them to live and teach the faith at home.
Help to implement sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation, ensuring diocesan guidelines.
Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families, including those with special needs.
Communication & Family Support
Keep families informed about schedules, events, and program updates.
Support and encourage parents as the primary teachers of faith at home.
Share resources and suggestions to help families grow in faith together.
Catechist & Volunteer Coordination
Recruit and support volunteer catechists.
Offer orientation, training, and occasional gatherings for team building and spiritual formation.
Encourage participation in diocesan catechist certification opportunities.
Program Planning & Administration
· Implement program calendars, registration systems and Safe Environment compliance.
Maintain participant records, attendance, and sacramental tracking.
Collaborate on calendars, planning events, and reserving space as needed.
Other Responsibilities
Help with parish-wide faith formation efforts (like retreats, youth events, young adult events or seasonal programs).
Assist with occasional parish events such as the Festival of the Sea.
Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing formation opportunities.
Qualifications
Required:
Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
Experience working in parish faith formation or similar ministry.
Strong people skills—friendly, organized, and good at communication.
Strong computer skills (email, Word, online forms, etc.).
Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred:
Degree or coursework in theology, religious education, or a related field.
Familiarity with family-based or intergenerational faith formation.
Work Environment
This role is based in the parish office, classrooms, and church facilities.
Includes some weekend and evening responsibilities throughout the year.
Occasional lifting and event setup may be needed (up to 25 lbs).
Occasional local travel for diocesan events or training.

Certified Pool Operator (CPO)- Seeking an individual to serve as CPO for the St Francis Aquatic Center. CPO Certification is Preferred. Please note: CPO Certification required within 30 days of hire if no certification is currently held– Certification fee paid by St Francis aquatics. Will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our aquatics facility including one indoor and two outdoor (seasonal) pools.

This position is responsible for the safety and well-being of children ages 9-13 years old enrolled in our Vacation Club program. Supervisor is expected to prepare and implement developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans according to the weekly theme. Will supervise the teacher assistants to ensure they are following planned activities, and hygiene and safety standards.
Applicants must have a background in early childhood education, child development and/or experience in working with children. Must have a high school diploma, Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree or be working towards such degree related to child development. Must be 18 years or older. Must be able to effectively communicate with staff and parents. Must be able to engage in wide range of movement (kneeling, stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time, sitting on floor). Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology or related field.
