October 6, Wednesday of the Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time
Lord, teach us to pray as John taught his disciples. (Lk 11:1)
Teach us. The Lord responds with a prayer for the community. Our Father…. Even when we are alone, our prayer is joined to the prayer of a community, a fellowship of faith. We pray by ourselves and we pray in community, but we are never alone. I need that consolation now and then.
