Daily Reflection: Thursday, September 16

Thursday, September 16

Sts. Cornelius and Cyprian are two saints that most have not heard their stories. Both lived during the 3rd Century when Christians were asked to renounce their belief or die. Cornelius was Pope for two years before he was sent in exile and died there. Cyprian, a friend of Cornelius, was a bishop in Africa and stood by his friend during these difficult times. He was later arrested and tried as a Christian and sentenced to death. We have some patrons to help us during our troubling times. We pray: may Cornelius and Cyprian strengthen our faith  in these times of adversity.
