Daily Reflection: Tuesday, September 14

Tuesday, September 14

The Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross has a long history. In the 4th century St. Helena discovered the cross of Jesus which was determined to be authentic because of the many miracles attributed to it. The cross stands as a sign of victory rather than death. We wear crosses to show that our lives are joined closely to Jesus in our day to day life. It is not just a piece of jewelry for us but a sign of our faith in Jesus Christ and our love for Him. “Lord, by your cross and resurrection, you have redeemed the world.”

Fr. Andrew
