Tuesday of the 23rd Week in Ordinary Time

Everyone in the crowd sought to touch him because power came out from him and healed them all.  (Lk 6:19)

 This is the last verse before the Sermon on the Plain.  The sermon is addressed to Jesus’ disciples, but it is within earshot of the crowd who sought to touch him.  Tomorrow’s feast means we won’t hear the beginning of the Sermon at mass, so let’s read it today.
