October 9, Saturday of the Twenty-Seventh Week in Ordinary Time
Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. (Lk 11:28)
There are nine Beatitudes in Matthew 5, four in Luke 6, and seven scattered through the Book of Revelation. And here is one more. We are invited to a deep listening to the word of God. Sometimes it will bring immediate light and inspiration, but other times we will wonder what it is about. Then we ask God to reveal the divine will so that we can put it into action.
