Daily Reflection: Tuesday, August 17

Tuesday, August 17

Jesus speaks about giving up everything to follow him in today’s Gospel. We know that the early followers of Jesus did exactly that, but for us we have to look at a way that it speaks to us. There can be many things that possess us, not just material things although they can control us. Our attitudes and values and use of time and our abilities can be focused in an unhealthy way. It is good to keep our “world” ever expanding and inclusive. Life doesn’t stand still nor should we.

Fr. Andrew
