Outreach to the Homeless in Ocean County

A new St. Mary's/St. Francis coalition ministry is partnering with social workers and skilled volunteers to provide direct assistance to unhoused people in Ocean County who are living in cars or in other public spaces.

St. Francis parishioners can help by donating needed personal items and bringing them to church on Saturday-Sunday August 9-10.

Look for the Backpacks for the Homeless tags in the baskets at the front door of the church on Sat.-Sun. August 2-3. The needed items are printed on the back of the tags and there is a variety of listed items to choose from.
The loaded backpacks will be delivered personally by volunteers who are prepared to offer information about further assistance.
