Wednesday, October 27
Saints of God, the Lord be with you. In today’s Gospel [Lk. 13: 22-30] the question is raised as to how many people will be saved: many or a few. If we remember that our hope is in the Lord’s mercy [today’s responsorial psalm] the question as to how many becomes moot. Salvation is offered to all, so the question is, “ How are we living the gift of salvation in this world so as to enjoy salvation in the next world?”
