In the reading from Isaiah, we read the prophet telling us that God “Strengthen the hands that are feeble, makes firm the knees that are weak”, and “Be strong, fear not! Here is your God!”. This reminds us that God has not abandoned his people. Reflection Question: When we are weak do we let God strengthen us?
St. Nicholas of Myra, the “real Santa Claus,” was fourth-century bishop remembered for both his acts of charity and his denunciations of the Arian heresy. His generosity to the poor and reputation as a miracle worker made him one of the best loved saints of both the Eastern and Western Churches. – 2020 Sourcebook For Sundays, Seasons, and Weekday (LTP)
