Daily Reflection: Tuesday, November 16
Tuesday, November 16
Jesus knew how to shock people but he didn’t do it just to shock them. Many were shocked when he was in Jericho and saw Zacchaeus , the chief tax collector, up in a tree. You can only imagine how hated Zacchaeus was and how surprised people were when Jesus says to him “Come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” You can imagine them saying, “Are you kidding, Jesus?” The confession of Zacchaeus is humbling because there is something happening in his life that probably no one knew: “…half of my possessions I shall give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I shall repay it four times over.” Today, think of someone who needs to make a significant change in their lives, and begin praying for them.
