Daily Reflection: Saturday, August 21

Saturday, August 21

The memorial of St. Pius X is today. He is the first Polish Pope, yes, he was born of Polish parents and Pope in the early years of the 1900’s. He was a Secular Franciscan, devoted to Our Lady of Confidence and lowered the age for First Communion. Today’s Gospel is a good reminder to all both powerful and ordinary that “whoever exalts himself will be humbled but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

Fr. Andrew
