Friday of the Seventeenth Week on Ordinary Time

Friday, July 30 

…They took offense at him.  But Jesus said to them, “Prophets are not without honor except in their own country and in their own house.”  (Mt 13:57). 

 The people of his hometown, Nazareth, knew Jesus too well and not at all.  We know him, but only because he has revealed himself to us.
