Our Mission

“We labor to promote the dignity of all human life, the sanctity of family life, the responsible stewardship of the environment and social justice as a way to peace.”

St. Francis of Assisi Parish is a Catholic, Franciscan community, in the Diocese of Trenton, that serves the human and spiritual needs of year-round and seasonal residents of Southern Ocean County, New Jersey.

Our ministry of Franciscan hospitality and reconciliation is extended through four churches and a regional community center. It is rooted in the Gospel and in the spirit of Vatican II, the celebration of the Eucharist and a commitment to social services in an ecumenical spirit.

Through shared leadership, and the work of religious and laity (professional and volunteer), we labor to promote the dignity of all human life, the sanctity of family life, the responsible stewardship of the environment and social justice as a way to peace. We give particular attention to those who experience alienation from the Church or society.

By committing ourselves to prayer and ministering to all people in our community, we strive to deepen our faith and, through service, give witness to God's love in our world.
