Contemplative Living Ministry

About

Contemplative Living provides an opportunity for sharing contemplative practices such as Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina (a practiced way of reading scripture  to discern new personal reflections.)  At the Saturday meetings there is usually a  short presentation followed by discussion within the group. The purpose of this ministry is to enrich the spiritual life of all its participants through shared contemplative prayer experiences.

This ministry has been active since 2013 and meets twice each month: the first Wednesday at 10:30 AM by Zoom and the second Saturday in person at 9:45 AM in the Senior Lounge of the St. Francis Community Center.  Leadership of this ministry is informal. Kathy Egan is the current coordinator and she works with a group of members to plan dates and programs. Members also take turns facilitating the prayer and Lectio Divina experiences.
