Book Club

About

Founded more than a decade ago by Father Steve Kluge, the St. Francis Book Club is a gathering of avid readers who share a love for exploring popular fiction and occasionally non-fiction. Our goal is to delve into what these works reveal about the human condition and life choices. We meet on the last Tuesday of each month (except December) in the Center. Meetings typically last 1 hour.

Book Selections & Discussions

Books are selected by members at the beginning of the year, fostering a diverse range of genres and themes. The Ocean County Library, when possible, makes multiple copies of the club’s selections available to library card holders at the Surf City branch.

Upcoming Events

Special Guest: We host special guests thought the year.
Movie Nights: When a movie version of a book we’ve read is available, we may schedule an additional meeting for a group screening.
