Altar Server Ministry
About
Altar servers hold a significant role in enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of our parish celebrations. They assist the priest during Sunday Mass and other special liturgies, including the Nativity of the Lord, Holy Week, and Confirmation, fostering a deeper engagement in spiritual life and developing self-confidence among our young parishioners.
Roles & Responsibilities
Our altar servers, typically starting from elementary school through high school, perform a variety of tasks, such as:
Processing in at the beginning of Mass as cross and candle bearers
Lighting candles
Preparing the incense for the presider
By actively participating in these important liturgies, our servers not only deepen their faith but also learn the values of responsibility and maturity.
Eligibility
To join the Altar Server Ministry, children must have made their First Eucharist. We welcome both girls and boys who are keen to serve and grow in their faith.
Training & Mentorship
All Servers are trained and mentored by the Altar Server Coordinator. They are well-equipped to fulfill their role, fostering a nurturing environment for spiritual growth.
